Sales Rep, Oregon

Summary:

Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Rep will represent the brewery, selling our beer and ensuring product quality in all of Oregon except the NE corner from Hermiston to Ontario along I-84. The Rep will sell our beer to bars and restaurants by way of cold calling, working events and promotions and managing our area distributor(s), and will manage product quality by way of grocery and convenience store visits and product rotation. The person will be expected to live in the greater Portland area.

Duties:

  • Sell beer to bars and restaurants by cold calling on new accounts as well as frequenting existing ones
  • Maintain personal relationships with account owners, managers, and bar staff
  • Manage distributor relationships at all levels, from area reps to managers and directors
  • Understand and interpret sales reports to aid existing relationships and find opportunities for more sales
  • Ensure product quality by sampling our beer at accounts, as well as merchandising cans at grocery and convenience stores

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Work independently and in a group setting
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, a self-starter and have exceptional time management
  • Ample beer knowledge and understanding of beer quality
  • Drive 30K+ miles per year 
  • Safely move up to 165 lbs
  • Understanding of email, Excel, Google Sheets and Docs

Education and Experience:

  • Get your Oregon Alcohol Service Permit

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends
  • Drive over 30,000 miles per year, sometimes six-plus hours at a time, to cover most of the state of Oregon
  • Safely move up to 165 lbs
  • Sometimes standing four-plus hours at a time for a festival or promo

Rate of Pay:
$65,000-$85,000 per year
Company credit card, for use at accounts and for vehicle upkeep
Company-provided vehicle and auto insurance
Reimbursement of $100 per month toward personal cell phone bill
