Food Program Assistant
The Food Program Assistant is kind of like a personal chef, caterer and line cook all rolled into one. Under the direction of the General Manager/Food Program Lead, the Food Program Assistant will plan and prepare healthy meals for employees, shop for supplies and ingredients, reconcile credit card receipts, and maintain a clean kitchen and appliances.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals for a staff of up to 50 people
- Assist in planning weekly menus for employees and guests, taking into consideration special occasions, health conscious menus, staff allergies and dietary preferences.
- In store grocery shopping at various stores and bulk food suppliers to supplement online orders
- Use of personal car needed for in store shopping up to 3-4 times/week
- Pantry/inventory management and organization
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen with daily, weekly and monthly duties
- Ensures the cleanliness and functional operation of galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas by routinely cleaning; washing cooking equipment such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Certification
- A high school degree or equivalent GED certificate is required
- Food Workers Card
- Previous experience in food service industry preferred
- Thorough knowledge of food safety procedures.
Working Conditions
- Primary working conditions will be in a kitchen/office setting requiring prolonged standing, lifting, and bending
- Occasional interaction with the manufacturing floor, including working around moving machinery such as forklifts and other manufacturing vehicles, may be required
- Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds
- Reliable transportation required

- Wage Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hour
